Dr. Minhaj Mahmud currently serves as a senior research fellow at Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS). He was affiliated with various economic groups and organizations such as Lahore Journal of Economics, Lahore School of Economics, Association for Economic and Development Studies on Bangladesh, ICDDR Bangladesh, Environmental Economics Unit, University of Gothenburg, European Association of Environmental and Resources Economics. He also held various teaching positions in several universities including Queens University Belfast. Keele University, Staffordshire, BRAC University, Dhaka, Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh among others. Dr Minhaj completed his PhD in Economics from University of Gothenburg, Sweden and MA in Economics from University of Manitoba, Canada. He also completed Advanced Training in Economics and Quantitative techniques, BIDS in 1993. He Did his MSc and BSc in Economics from Jahangirnagar University in 1992 and 1991 respectively.
